It was in 1959 when I first met Miss B. I had been skipped over 6th grade and sent to Jr High, Mark Twain Jr High on Neptune Avenue in Coney Island. She was my 7th grade English teacher. That I fell madly in love with her is not really an issue here, but I for sure did. It's a long way from Brooklyn to Vietnam. Through a surprise package of fifty-year-old letters he explores in Dear Miss B, Dominic Albanese (re-)discovers a road that bridges time and place.
